Description

The ministry of the United Methodist women is to actively engage in fulfilling the mission of Christ and the Church. United Methodist women’s purpose is to support and advocate for other women as well as care for the needs of children and youth. United Methodist Women work cooperatively in the mission of engaging persons to foster growth in the Christian faith, mission of education and social and civic engagement.

The Organized Unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose Purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.  To develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  We volunteer, donate and financially support the Center of United Methodist Aid to the Community Ecumenically Concerned Helping Others (CUMAC/ECHO), a non-profit, outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church dedicated to alleviate hunger and poverty in Paterson, NJ, the Center for Food Action Partnership in Hackensack and the Teaneck Nursing Home.  We have two major fundraisers each year, Palm Sunday Tea and Caribbean Night Celebration in July or August.  We also have a toy drive in December.  The women at Galilee give God the Glory for His many blessings as we continue to be Jesus' hands and feet in our community, the nation, and the world. Everyone is welcome.  You do not have to be a Methodist to join this organization.
