Patterns of Life

The Patterns of Life Prayer Ministry is a Prayer Shawl ministry in which prayer cloths, scarves, mini prayer cloths, shawls and blankets are crocheted, knitted and given to those in need of prayer and enforced spiritual support.  Each session of the ministry begins with prayer; as the pieces are being stitched we offer prayers and blessings for the recipient.  The prayers are continued until the completion of the shawl.  Each piece is a symbol of God's healing power.  Matthew 14:35-36 "And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country.  People brought all their sick to him and begged him to let the sick just touch the hem of his garment; and as many as touched it were cured."  

This is the ministry's way of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ!  It is our mission to have the shawls and prayer cloths to serve as a symbol of love, hope and healing in Jesus name.  Upon completion, the items are placed on the altar and are blessed in a group prayer.  The shawls are free of charge.   If you have a loved one or know of someone who needs healing, please feel free to contact us at GalileeUMC@verizon.net.
