Men's Mentoring Ministry

Description

Galilee United Methodist Men have partnered with St. Paul's African-American Male Initative, at St. Paul's Church, to Mentor Youth with behavioral challenges. Currently the Mentors from Galilee UMC are Bro. Cornell Armstrong, our beloved President, Bro. Samuel Tatem, and Bro. Lizo M'Timkulu. At the moment Bro. Tatem and Bro. Lizo have Mentees. The program Director is Dr. Albert Griffith, who moderates the activities of the Mentors. Rev. Elouise Hill-Challenger introduced the Men of Faith to Dr. Griffith. The Mentors and Mentees meet twice a month to work on Goals set by Mentee and Mentor. At the end of Last year the Group of 13 Mentors and their mentees went to see the Alvin Ailey Dance performance in New York City. Fun and Fellowship was had by all.
